Midface Fixation
Fractures of the frontal sinus, zygoma, maxilla, and orbital floor blowouts have been successfully treated with the SonicWeld Rx system.
While many resorbable systems failed to gain the confidence of the user due to poor interface, SonicWeld Rx overcomes these with the unique ultrasonic process.
There is no torque required to insert fixation, nor is there any chance of stripping or a need to pre-tap a hole. There is also no risk of breaking the pin during insertion due to torque as in resorbable screw fixation. It is twice as fast, and very easy to use.
SonicWelding also forms a connection between the plate and the head of the SonicPin Rx during the insertion process. This creates a more stable structure than traditional resorbable screw systems.

In accordance with other studies, our postoperative follow-up also showed sufficient mechanical stability in all the described indications.
